A satirical piece

As I apathetically aligned my eye in position of the aperture, I saw something that wasn't pleasant-a horid visage.

So, it is about time I pick up the 'pen' again in this cyberspace after such a lengthy abeyance from the writer's world. Let me just start off with a topic of the day, ridicule.

Bards of medieval times ridiculed figures through songs and poetry long before the advent of the internet. Needless to say, it is only by human nature that we find pleasure in dissing someone for our own entertainment purposes. A victim then tenaciously cling on to what is left of his dignity only to end up in dismay feeling dampened.

However, there are two ways of which sardonicism can take place. Ever heard of self ridicule? Not really? Well that is almost certain because I made that up. Nevertheless, it is possible to scoff over something absurd committed by oneself. Don't you think so? We jeer in contempt over a mishap fully driven by grudge only to realise the matter was given to birth by our very own stupid actions. Finding it hard to gulp down the reality we resort from the conventional means of emotional therapy ranging from alcoholism to a wide array of weird ways of letting it off the system. Not forgetting self-ridicule within this context.

*bitter laughs*

The fact is, it works. Put it simply, belittling oneself and laughing over your own mistakes shines a light over something that you've not been accustomed to when it comes to, you. Little did you know you re-emerge with newfound dogmatism which leads to retribution. Whether or not for vegeance or just restoring your integrity. The decision is yours to make.

Enlightened? Puzzled? Don't understand what the doughnuts I'm penning about?

Well, excuse me then. It has been awhile since my parting with the philosophical me. I find it relatively hard compared to before to convey thoughts. Rest assured though that yours truly is not facing every writer's nightmare-a writer's block but just feeling disdainful.

A trivial matter though. Nothing to be concerned about.

Good day!
